Here is an excerpt from the book

The long ridges extending from the southwest sides of the central peak resemble the open and loving arms of a great mother (Ama in Sherpa), welcoming travelers as if they were her own children. The dazzling glacier that develops between the side ridges brings to mind the “Dablam”: a traditional double pendant containing images of deities, adorning the necks of Sherpa women.

Thanks to its unmistakable shape, Ama Dablam is one of the most spectacular and famous mountains in the entire Himalayas.

Among climbers, it is known as the “Himalayan Matterhorn,” a nickname given due to its sharp ridges and steep walls, which make it resemble the famous Alpine peak.
