This Velociraptor is stretching after a nap under a shady bush.

We’re in the middle of the dry season in the Djadochta formation, in the Late Cretaceous Mongolia. During this time of the year the landscape is pretty barren and arid.

The Velociraptor is somewhat agitated… maybe he sees that the wind has started to rise some dust and sand, a clue that a sand storm might coming soon.
