The Tritia pellucida, commonly known as the Cyclope, is a marine gastropod mollusk. It typically inhabits shallow waters and during low tide, it seeks refuge in the saltwater pools that remain on the sand. It is primarily a scavenger and feeds on decomposing animals.

I created this illustration along with 36 others for the project "Dentro e Fuori dall'Acqua" by nature photographer Lorenzo Peter Castelletto, which aimed to promote the awareness of tidal habitat life forms.

Inside and outside the water
The project @dentro_e_fuori_dallacqua is a format by wildlife photographer @lorenzopetercastelletto_photos, its aim is to show the biodiversity of the tidal environments and more in general of the biodiversity that lives on the line between the watery world and the world out of water.
The exhibition is promoted by @wwfitalia, @ampmiramare, @ogs_it and it is exposed at the central station of Trieste until June 11th 2023.
